I had forgotten to pick up the newspaper last evening from its plastic tube next to the mailbox, so early this morning I took care of that task, and nabbed a morning light road scene:
It dawned on me then.........something is missing. Do you know what it is?

Telephone poles?

Yes, you're right......no electric poles. Just a small section of our road is without poles, and that fact stood out to me this morning. Our farm is at end of an electric line which comes from a substation to the south of us. The neighbor's power comes from a substation to the east. Thus, a blank area in between!
There a no yellow or white lines on the road either.....that truely makes it a country road.....=)

Cool.....I've never been to New England. The road maintenance in your area must be subpar?! They do a good job around here......for the farmers, I guess.

I wouldn't say maintenance is bad, I just drive 30 miles of dirt roads each way to work. Many of those are seasonal (summer only) roads. I tend to notice when each section has been shown a little TLC.
