My maternal grandparents had violets in a yard they lived in. I liked them growing right there in the grass. I also thought the bindweed flowers growing on a fence on my way to school were pretty. I let some violets grow in the yard, but not bindweed.
It is a pretty shade of purple though. For some reason they remind me of little purple butterflies.
