I truly love your blog. It stirs my childhood memories of "getting the heifers in" each fall from pasture before winter. my brother sold the dairy herd several years ago - his wife told him if there was a milking cow left on the farm, she was leaving! their lives are much simpler and easier now. he raises beef and crops, that's it. your photos are reminiscent of joyful times for me, so thanks for that. happy weekend to you Jeanelle.
First let me thank you for commenting on my blog, if for nothing else than I have found yours through it. I love this pic and from what I am seeing will love visiting.
I do get behind...we go to visit my daughter and spend the night quite often or her and our grandbaby come here...and when she is here I don't get much done.
Heifer heaven!
ReplyDeleteThey look like happy cows in an Iowa corn field to me! =)
ReplyDeleteI have just had a lovely browse around your blog..

ReplyDeleteA double bonus for both you and the heifers. They get more to eat and you have less to clear.
ReplyDeleteI love the coats on these heifers, Jeannelle. What type are they?
ReplyDeleteThanks for all comments! To Nancy: They are Holsteins.
ReplyDeleteThey must be happy!
ReplyDeleteDid you see me wave as I drove through your State? We are now just about to the border of OK, in Kansas, settled down for the night.
I don't think there is anything prettier than a Holstein. Love this photo.
