Right now, the buds on the upper branches of our soft maple trees look like this:

Rarely did I notice such things before starting to take photos for the blog.
Different stages...amazing the beauty nature has to share!
Blogging really does make you more fully aware of your surroundings. Everything is a photo opportunity. I'm going to have to check out my maple trees when I get home.
