Our pastor ended up showing the movie at a Sunday evening church service, and everyone discussed it afterwards. My mom didn't like the Mary Magdalene character very well, and the fact that the resurrection wasn't shown, but otherwise she didn't think it was too bad.Jeannellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10506888396193293867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-934801789662610674.post-29801634596288260312008-03-17T19:57:00.000-05:002008-03-17T19:57:00.000-05:00The cake sounds delicious. Do you have a digital camera? And a USB cord to connect it to the computer? That's how to move the photos from the camera to the computer. I see there are memory card readers you can buy to do the same thing to avoid using the camera's battery power. I might buy one of those in town this afternoon.

As far as this photo.....I was using the contrast and brighten settings on Picture It, and happened to run the contrast all the way up, and that turned the background black, which was really cool, I thought, so I left it like that. Then I clicked on the soft white edge thing, which can be narrowed and widened as you wish.....when its wider it has that 3D box look to it. Then I used the highlight edge button to do outer colored edges. Truly, there's little skill involved.....its just using technology that's on the computer.

I don't have a recipe for taco salad.....I'm sure you've made it. Just brown a pound of hamburger and mix with Taco Bell seasoning package and water. Then its just lettuce, and toppings.... lite sour cream, shredded cheese, salsa, chips, and whatever else anyone wants to put on. Everyone puts on their own toppings.

That easy cake is nothing fancy, but we like it warm with ice cream. No frosting needed with the chips and nuts on top.

Have a great day! I'm not getting any blogs read or post written today, as need to catch up on farm bookwork and run to bank and town.Jeannellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10506888396193293867noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-934801789662610674.post-27070029201822621322008-03-17T12:15:00.000-05:002008-03-17T12:15:00.000-05:00Okay, the queen anne's lace pic proves you are an ...Okay, the queen anne's lace pic proves you are an expert a photo stuff. You may have to help me figure out how to download my pics at least, if the Contrarian is unable to. lol..

And where is the recipe for the taco salad? The oatmeal cake sounds good. Do you frost it? Dates are a favorite of mine. The nuts and chocolate make it downright decadent and that's the way I like my desserts.Sherryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15503657383929273550noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-934801789662610674.post-39208898259029054812008-03-16T22:39:00.000-05:002008-03-16T22:39:00.000-05:00Kacey & Country Girl,For sure, its from Jesus Chri...Kacey & Country Girl,

For sure, its from Jesus Christ Superstar. There are some Episcopal churches in the bigger towns around here.....is that the same?

I wouldn't mind either if my funeral was a hymn-sing!

You are allergic to wheat? Hey--I love the seasons of the church calandar--it is such a wonderment to me (hey just go with the flow of my spellings and made up words etc., ok ...girl!)We had the grand entrance into church today--laying our palms before "Jesus"--then the choir and children sang "Blessed is He who Comes"--it was beautiful. Then the processional was "All Glory , Laud, and Honor" which was utterly awesome with our big pipe organ booming!! I would like my funeral to have that one in it (I think I keep finding hymns I love---maybe when I have my funeral we will have a big hymn sing all day!). And we had the longest scripture reading ever---3 pages for just the gospel reading!! It was from Matthew 26:36-75 and 27:1-56!! We had about 7 people reading--one narrator and others reading the parts and the church being the crowd. When that was all done we really didn't need a sermon; It actually was quite quite powerful by itself!! I like your queen anne's lace. And mmmm, wish I could have flour--I got so excited reading your recipe, thinking it had no flour---till I read to the end of the ingredients!! Blessings to you and yours. ps we have a router too---we sometimes have 3 or more computers going at the same time when the kids come for a visit with their laptops. I have a laptop (but it has to be plugged in because my battery is dead dead dead) Ohya, I know the tune--HA!! Your a weird one , Julie Jordon--that's a quote from a different song , but it could apply to you. Hey, I was seeing if I could make this comment as long as your blog post---just kidding!! I have not posted today yet....will do much later.....LOVE TO YOU and ALL them there cows, kids, hubby, blah, blah.nannykimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09904490730187017812noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-934801789662610674.post-61483552678785212492008-03-16T16:16:00.000-05:002008-03-16T16:16:00.000-05:00Grandma's cooking. That's just a perfect note to aw...Grandma's cooking.
That's just a perfect note to awaken memories.Mary Connealyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09598386111251769803noreply@blogger.com
