A Fleeing Oriole

Not a good shot, but it was the best I could get yesterday of this colorful Baltimore Oriole. He was checking out this Oriole nest used in previous years.

One of my favorite wildflowers! Prairie phlox grows wild along the roadsides around here. Colors range from white to lavendar to pink and in between.
