Yesterday I took some more violet photos with the macro lens...

I liked the focus of the above violet so I cropped it out of the photo below...

Macro shots are fun because you often get a lovely blurred background that looks like a watercolor painting.

My camera has a "poster effect" setting which I don't use very often but decided to today on this patch of dandelions...

And, here's a shot of lilac buds taken a couple days ago, looking dark because of a cloudy sky...

Yesterday afternoon I took my first macro (close-up) shots of the season...

We have drab gray clouds overhead today so I am enjoying this photo taken yesterday.  I chose to make the photo larger because the sky IS pretty darn big, probably the biggest thing anywhere.

When I was a kid I sometimes looked for pictures in clouds.  I rarely do that anymore but do so if you want to.

Today was our first truly warm day, so I spent quite a bit of time outdoors taking photos.  Here are some of them.

A zoomed photo from today...

I wasn't going to take anymore photos of the daffodils, but this morning's light seemed just right, not too bright to cause glare on the white petals.

I spent some time removing dirt specks in Photoshop and was pleased with the results.

Was out for a walk this afternoon 

and decided to zoom in on these far away trees...

The photo turned out a bit blurry.  Instead of hitting the delete button I tinkered around and tried to make the scene look like a painting.

I love the willow trees' green of spring.  It was nice to see the blue sky, too, as its been hiding behind gray clouds for the last several days.

Waves in a mud puddle...

     Gusty winds blew all day yesterday.  Rainstorms were roaming around here, too. It was the kind of day to watch a scary movie, which I did.  I also read a book for awhile, one which included a ship crossing the ocean.  After the rain stopped, I got the bright idea to try and take a photo of waves in a mud puddle.  Yeah, really goofy, I know, but out here on the farm no one can see me do such things, so who cares.  I tried to add a somewhat ocean-like color to the photo.

Rainclouds have fled for the time being.  

Now I get to see more of my favorite color combo, blue and green.

Here's another photo taken yesterday.  

Glimpses of spring green were catching my eye, 

plus the clouds were great.

I really like this photo which was taken today as storm clouds were moving in from one direction and the sky was still somewhat clear in the other direction.  Those circumstances provided for good lighting for this scene, at least that's my theory.    

If you click on the photo to enlarge it you will see that there's also a hint of green in those yonder trees.

The daffodils started blooming recently.  They never look nice for very long due to wind, rain, snow, cats, dogs, and cold nights.  

I took this photo this morning using the my camera's fish-eye effect and then removed dirt spots using Photoshop.
