Miriam,
This is not a photo of anything beautiful.......it is simply a snowdrift. But, I thought the shadowing was interesting. It was around noon on a sunny day when this photo was taken.
I'm an amateur way down at the bottom of the photographers' totem pole and I don't have a good camera......this was taken with a Canon PowerShot A630. I hope to upgrade sometime soon. I did fiddle with the photo on the computer in PictureIt, so that may go against the rules for this assignment. It did bring out interesting shadows that otherwise were not noticeable.
I enjoy your lovely photos and the photography information to learn from on your blog.

Thanks for your entry! I love the lines and shapes that might not have been visible had the light not been shining just right. There is a lot of movement. The assignment wasn't about taking a "pretty picture" (although it is very pleasing to look at and quite beautiful), but rather to experiment with light and be aware of how it can affect, dramatize, showcase or even change a subject.
I will be referring to photo entries when I close the assignment. Stay tuned!
