Spring fieldwork has officially taken off.....just this afternoon! In the photo above Husband runs the "one-pass" to prepare a field for drilling oats seeds. (I think a tractor with a loader attached looks odd doing fieldwork......don't you agree.)
Remember.......you heard it first RIGHT HERE........spring fieldwork in northeast Iowa is off and running!

Hallelujah! Didn't it seem like it would never come? I remember when I first 'met' you and you seemed to be writing from such a cold, bleak place. Gosh, it seems so long ago and it was only January when I started reading your blog!
Oh, I tagged you today on my blog. You're it!
Hi Jeannelle, Thanks for stopping by my blog. Thanks for your prayers. It's been a long month, a month where God has proved Himself faithful, a month where we have experienced the breadth and depth of His love through His people.
We're expecting another winter storm. April in the Rockies. :)
Sounds like my dad's going to get out there tomorrow...before the rain starts again. At least we got a track meet in today (finally!) (And they won!)
Yes, country girl, we had a long winter, and that WAS about all I blogged about back when we "met". And I'm so happy we did "meet" for your blog is always a treat to visit! (I wonder what the tag is.....thanks....I think.)
Welcome, Darlene.....I can't imagine experiencing what you have the past few weeks. Its good that you are able to talk about it on your blog. God's blessings to you each day!
sugarcreekfarm.....You'll be getting in the fields up in northern Iowa, too....that sounds great! Congrats to your daughter on the track victory! My son had another meet this evening. Two in a row.....he's tired......and when can they ever get homework done??
My husband will be jealous you can get in the field. We can't yet. It's getting to be a late year.
NonnieM
We got in the field for a few days about a week ago. Then more rain and snow, but they're back at it now.
I had dental work yesterday. How odd that I have to pay hundreds of dollars to someone to hurt me.
Very strange system.
Hi, Anonymous NonnieM (does M stand for "mouse"?? LOL):
Husband told me the field he worked yesterday was just on the borderline of being dry enough. He so badly wants to get the oats seeded today before the next batch of rainy weather arrives tomorrow. No one else around here is in the field yet.....probably because no one else plants oats.

Mary,
Glad to hear fieldwork is underway in Nebraska.
Oh, fun.....the dentist.....I'm glad you survived!
