Ruffled Feathers

Ever have one of those days when the breeze manages to ruffle not just any feathers......but, the really WRONG feathers???

Ha ha, I was noticing the exact same thing when I fed my broiler chickens out in the pasture this afternoon!

How did your guys do at districts? I guess our boys varsity got something like 20 through. Today was M's last track meet, North Iowa Conference, they got 2nd! And softball starts tomorrow already!

Wow......you mean 20 events going to state!! Wow! Our Wapsie Valley boys team placed first at districts, by 2 points! We were in 2nd place....then it came down to the last race, the 4x400, in which our team placed 2nd and Central Elkader, the team leader, placed 3rd.....so we edged them out. And who says track isn't exciting!! Our team has 12 events going. Our girls placed 3rd as a team and have several events going, too. My son is in one relay, and is very excited to go to run at Drake (and miss 2 days of school!!).

I probably should have put this info in a comment on YOUR blog, so maybe I'll go do that.

No, I think that's 20 runners, 14 events. I don't have high schoolers yet, so I'm going by word of mouth until the newspaper comes out tomorrow :) The boys team is pretty good this year, the girls not so much - I think they made 4 events. (Someone also told me our 7th grade girls are beating some of the high school girls' times. Track gossip, ha ha!)

Fourteen events is alot! Sounds like there's a bright future for the Osage girls' track team!
