Okay.......truly I never use this three-letter word "a**" in my daily speaking, but this "Kick Ass Blogger" award was sent here from a fellow-blogger whom I admire immensely, thus I'm constrained to accept the honor. Thank you, Bob Brague, the genius author/creator/owner of the very excellent and informative "rhymeswithplague" blog! You are definitely a "Kick A** Blogger"!!
The rules are that I'm to choose 5 other bloggers to receive this "Kick A** Blogger" award, and I promise to do that soon, if I can find 5 that I think wouldn't mind having the word "Kick-Ass" on their blog. I haven't been visiting other blogs the last couple weeks, because there's been so much going on here at home.......my son's wedding, moving my daughter to college, baling hay........writing blogposts!!. And, you ask, how can I find time to write blogposts when I'm too strapped for time to read other blogs? Good question........I guess you can see where my priorities are. Its an illness, I think......I'm constantly thinking of things I want to blog about, and seeing cool stuff to photograph, which leads to another blogpost. Yikes, I'm really hooked on this blogging thing!

Congratulations!!! Well deserved!
I, too, don't use that term ever. I think some people may think I am a bit crude if they read my posts on a regular basis but I really am not. In fact, I rarely use swear words or off colored language. Well, okay. If I drop a glass jar or hit my finger with a hammer or something the word "damn" comes out pretty fast...! But that is about it.
I think you have an excellent blog and I enjoy reading it on a regular basis!! Take care!

I also do not swear, use "cuss" words or the common Anglo-Saxonisms for body parts and bodily functions, for one very good reason. My parents impressed on me that to say such things demonstrated that the person doing it didn't have much of a vocabulary. My wife and I similarly impressed our three children, who, in their forties, have been heard to say the very same thing.
I do tell people this: I never cuss, but where I spit, grass never grows again.

I use that word occasionally when driving I'm sorry to say. I'd agree though, your blog is kick-a@@. You do a great job with your pictures and writing also. I'm surprised you've only had your blog a year. I'll have to look back sometime and see if you started out as pitifully as I have. I seriously doubt it. I'm way behind on reading and writing, hope to catch up soon!!!

Thank you for your kind words! I started blogging on Feb. 12, 2007. It was completely plain.....not even a header photo, because I had not the slightest idea of how to upload photos, and I didn't have a digital camera yet then, anyway. I just wrote posts, and no one read them. Several months later, I got one comment.......I was terrified and happy at the same time. Isn't that idiotic!
After nearly a year of my blogging with no photos, we upgraded to DSL internet service in January of 2008, and because of that and what I'd learned from reading Kate's blog, Chronicles of a Country Girl, I started figuring out how to edit and upload photos. Plus, I became more outgoing and searched for other similar blogs. I feel very fortunate to have stumbled onto rhymeswithplague blog.....he's just brilliant with his writing!
So just write about what you enjoy, and have fun with your blog!!
