Ok........tonight was the last regular season football game; our game was an hour away and Husband and I actually went! We rushed through milking chores and headed for the hills of northeast Iowa.....with me driving, so we would get there quicker! Ahem. I am more willing to speed than Husband is. It was half-time when we got there, which was great.......we didn't have to pay to get in........and, had to endure only a half a game's worth of standing out in the cold and damp!!

Sorry to inflict this silly "highlight" photo on you.......it reminds me of a scene in the famous movie, The Ten Commandments, when---with Charlton Heston/Moses watching in amazement---God inscribed the commandments on the stones with fingers of fire! It appears the scoreboard is undergoing the same fiery touch!
The visiting team has a commanding lead----Hooray!----for we are the visiting team!! My son, shown here, had a very good game, scoring three touchdowns, rushing for 167 yards, and tackling lots of those pesky opponents! The whole team played well.........football is definitely a team sport!
The chain-gang guys always make a bright, flashy fashion statement there on the sidelines, bless their hearts!!
And, what would a football game be without......FOOTBALLS!!

Hey......good news......our team has earned a spot in the play-offs! They are very excited! The first sub-state game is next Wednesday night.

Have a great weekend.........=)
Way to go, DS's team! Making it to the play-off's is a big thing. I'm wishing them well.
I really like the effect you've achieved in the first photo. Kewl!
Congratulations. You must be so proud. I liked the pictures.
deserthen, pat, dr.john,
Thank you for your comments! That weird effect in the photo was accidental, of course.
Yes, I'm happy for my son and his team, but its all tempered by my nervousness about football. Its such a rough game and my main concern always is that no one gets seriously hurt.
