New transportation for Santa this year! The reindeer must have gone on strike to a warm beach somewhere. Come Christmas Eve, you will need to listen for Johnny-Popper putta-putta-pop-pop's instead of sleigh bells!! (It appears some inflation will be needed before then, too!) Would you believe this photo was taken way back on November 13.......in Oelwein, Iowa, in front of Hub City Implement Company. Can you guess what brand of farm machinery they sell and service there?

I'm putting the BRAKE on blogging for awhile......taking a BREAK......maybe for a week or so, to try and get my act together for Christmas.
*
I hope to read some blogs now and then, but will not be posting here on my own site. Yeah, I know.......big hairy deal......boo-hoo, and all that.
*
Best wishes to you in YOUR holiday preparations!!
God Bless!

Dear Pouting Laura,
We blog-break-takers will look to you to hold down the blogging fort for us! You are a dedicated blogger.....keep up the great work!
Thanks for stopping by my blog....we do have lots in common!
I love the photo....we are Deere people here on this farm.
I will miss your blog, but seriously, I understand. I still don't have my tree up. Zero presents have been wrapped. No cookies yet. Still getting settled in our new place.
Love the Santa...
Merry Christmas, Jeannelle!
Cool! Santa rides a Deere!
Nothing like a John Deere Christmas! LOL. And we will miss ya Jeannelle, but sure understand how blogging can take up too much time! The best to you and yours!

Enjoy your break and come back with lots of wonderful tales.
I love the Santa on the tractor. I understand about wanting a break. I hope it gives you the extra time you need.
Humbug....but enjoy the celebratory nature of the season...we will await your return...
Happy holidays!
Happy Christmas!
I had to laugh when I read your comment about Checkered working for John Deere because he actually did apply for a job there yesterday. Everything about it is a looooong shot, & we will probably still be in Detroit 20 years from now, but we both agreed that Iowa is a state where we would gladly relocate. Of course, if that ever happened, you might find my boys to be constant visitors to your farm :) Okay, maybe that should be a :( for you!
Hi, Frazzled,
Thanks for stopping over! Go, Green!

Hi, Deb,
Best wishes as you continue to get settled in!

Hi, Nancy,
I'll bet Santa could ride any color tractor if he had to!

Hi, Reamus,
Oh, if only I really felt like celebrating......I'm just trying to keep pace with the family's expectations.

Hi, Indrani,
Thank you for stopping by from India, so far away.....blessings to you in your world!

Hi, caution,
How very interesting....and cool! If Checkered ended up at the Tractor Works, Engine Works, or PEC, in Waterloo, then you would be close! Your kids would be welcome.....they could sling bales and manure.....how does that sound to them?
Deere is a major employer in our area, of course.....many, many people around here work there, and even I did for a time, 30 years ago as a street cleaner and janitor at the downtown Tractor Works in Waterloo.....I need to blog about that sometime.
There are also Deere plants in the Quad Cities and Des Moines areas, so you could end up there, too.
Keep me posted. I'm praying the best will happen for your family's situation.
Enjoy the Holiday. That tractor could use a little more air.
Hi, Dr. John,
You are correct about that! Santa wouldn't get too far on a flat tractor!
I understand perfectly. It's hard at this time of year. Too much to do.
Until we blog again.....
Merry Christmas!
Enjoy your break and your holidays!
Hi, Rebel and Rhea,
Thanks for stopping by with a greeting! Many blessings to you at this busy time of year. I had a marathon day of Christmas shopping yesterday!
