Oh, will you look at this........yesterday I opened up the box where my Christmas cards are stored and look what else was in there! Can you believe it?! For a whole year, there's been a kitty-in-the-card-box!
Hey, Maw........you got any Cat-Tail brand cards?
Seriously, I didn't even think to try and coax Mookie into the empty space in the box.......she just jumped right in and started posing. What a ham!
*
But, now, of course.......as speedily as she jumped in, she's ready to similarly make her exit!
*
At the lunch table yesterday, I was deeply engrossed in reading a magazine article and did not notice that Husband had not finished drinking his milk when he left the table. I absently pushed my plate out of the way without looking up and knocked over said glass of milk. Immediately, I wanted to shout to Husband---who was by then snoring in peaceful, oblivious slumber on the floor---"LOOK WHAT YOU MADE ME DO!".......but, being the really nice, kind, considerate wife that I am, refrained from blurting out said declaration.......I bit my tongue; and thus, said tempting words went unsaid.
*
Curious little Mookie came bounding right over to check out the situation. Mmm.......something yummy right here on the floor......how very handy, and so thoughtful of Maw to serve me my lunch this way! Maw was once again reminded of how ecstatically happy she is to NOT have carpeting in the kitchen and dining/pig-out area.
*
My neighbor across the road asked for my email address the other day when I was over at their house searching for Betsy. Now he sends me forwards almost every day. He milks cows, too, and has lots of cats around the farmyard, as do we. One of his emails included this pathetic little kitty scene, supposedly a sign of the tough economic times we're in:
A cat that's willing to work.......sure.......when pigs fly!!

I love the kitty in a box.
Pets are handy for cleaning up spills, aren't they?
That Mookie is a cutie!
I *am* working on Christmas cards. I made 4 last night! :) How many do I need? Oh, twenty times that number, at least! :)
Hi, Ruth,
Thanks for stopping in!
Pat,
Its late in the day now.....you probably have ALL your cards done by now!
What cute photos of Mookie in the box. When we set up the tree the other night, the cats kept jumping into the decoration boxes. They were having so much fun...nothing better then an open box for them to explore in.
I'm moving in the right direction for starting on my cards......but now hubby wants to go to the Big City for the weekend to shop, so guess I won't be completing my cards this weekend after all. Looks like I will be working on them during breaks at work.......
Adorable, Jeannelle! Loved this.
Hi, Deserthen,
Mookie reminds me of a little child....that's why enjoy having a cat around the house....brings back memories.
Oh, have fun shopping! How nice your hubby suggested such an outing. I would probably drop over in a dead faint if my husband ever suggested going SHOPPING.....he can't imagine anything worse.
