A whirly-twirly WELCOME to you from chilly northeast Iowa, USA. Be sure to spin your way to the official
SkyWatch Friday site to catch the complete list of this week's links!
We have a miniature, ornamental windmill next to our garage. The windmill's apparatus is quite authentic-looking, and it spins merrily in whatever breeze happens to come along!

Do you ever have a hankering to see gaze upon GREEN in the darkest days of winter? A manipulated photo such as this one can be posted on the Paintbox Pictures blog. I highly recommend a visit......the photos there are works of art! That unique blog was established by someone who was very involved with the operation of the excellent SkyWatch Friday site.......Old Tom Wigley, or Wom Tigley, or whatever his name may be!

HAPPY SKYWATCHING!

Deserthen,
Oh, yes....do take pictures of that windmill and show us sometime. They are a great photo subject!
Wind is the invisible element of skywatch ... always present, but hard to see. Well done.
Hi! I found you through your comment on a Skywatch blog. What a fun post!
We are neighbors, as I am from Nebraska. I live in Lincoln, though, not a farm.
My dad had uncles who were brothers and shared a farm. I have a picture of me next to the fenced in cows when I was quite young. I used to sing to the cows, and they would look at me. I always thought I'd like to live on a farm, but as an adult, wondered if I would have liked it so much if I did and had to get up early to do chores.
Merry Christmas!
Sue
Oh, I love that little bit of sun peeking out from under the cloud in the second photo! We had almost a whole week of rain here, so your blue skies look beautiful! Heck, even your green sky looks wonderful!
Have a wonderful weekend, Jeanelle!
xoxo,
Mary
Ineresting shots. We have 3 working windmills. They are pesky things to keep in good repair.
Hi, Robert,
Yes, "who has seen the wind?" Thank you for stopping in!

Hi, Sue,
Thank you for stopping by and introducing yourself! That's a cute story about the cows looking at you when you sang.....cows ARE very curious.....you should see them crowd in to look at me when I'm pointing a camera their way!

Hi, Mary,
Yeah, winter blue skies are a treat....if only they were warm, though. Thank you for stopping in!

Hi, Arija,
Oh, that's very interesting, that you have windmills in use. The wind is a fairly steady source of power, I'm sure, but as you say, a windmill must require much upkeep. Thank you for visiting!
