Hey.........a nice surprise came my way. An email notice arrived the other day saying yours truly was chosen to be guest host for "SkyWatch Friday" this week. Its definitely a double honor because this week is SkyWatch #31 and falls on Friday the 13th.......how cool is that!!?? There must be a conspiracy afoot. Hmm......and people wonder why I have a history of paranoid thinking. Bring on the black cats......

Congratulations!
Congrats is right!
I remember when you posted that picture here -- it wasn't so long ago. It's a great picture.
Kudos, Kiddo!
Great photo. I left a comment at the Sky Watch site, too.
Hey! great. I visited the site and your SkyWatch photo is lovely.
I'll head there in a minute, but I just wanted to let you know how much I love those Gary Larson cartoons you've got in the sidebar...and those are 2 of my all time favourites - "Car" and "What they hear". Ha ha. The other one I love is the cat on the inside of a big window looking out at truck accident - one truck reads "Al's Small Flightless Birds" and the other is "Bob's Assorted Rodents" - everyone of them is running amok on the street. Hilarious!
Also, wondered about the memoriam photo of your dog - what was his/her name? Beautiful creature!

I have never heard of parhelion. That is one fantastic photograph! It reminds me of a giant ear-ring suspended from the sky. Wow!
You did a good job with the saturation and hue - looks great.
I also really like your accompanying text--very friendly, but informative too. I'm happy to be part of your connection to the world!

Hi, Gail,
Thank you! SkyWatch is great, isn't it......a fun way to see many faraway places.

Hi, Sempringham,
Thank you, too! Yeah, a sundog scene like that is fun to catch, and doesn't occur very often.

Hi, Pat,
Thanks! I saw your comment on SkyWatch.....back when I was known as "Junebug" for a short time.

Hi, Poetikat,
What are you.....a psychic?! Just last week I sent that "Al's Small Flightless Birds/Bob's Assorted Rodents" card to my brother-in-law for his birthday. I scanned it first....to post on the blog sometime! When I need a laugh, that scene will do it. The hilarious coincidence of it.....as life can be sometimes.
And, you noticed "Barney", our first Australian Shepherd, who lived to be 18 years old! He was great dog.....had one blue eye and one brown.
Thanks for the kind words about the SkyWatch post.
Wish I was psychic - that could come in really handy, but no; I think it's just that strange serendipity that occurs every once in a while. Although, I think also, in this blogging community that we seek out like-minded people, so I'm not surprised that we share that sense of humour - and since you like both dogs and "kitties", you were bound to know the cartoon - it's just the timing that's neat.

P.S. When you get a minute, swing by Invisible Keepsakes and take a look at a little bit of MY world.
