Its In The Glass

When I happen to be with along when Husband runs errands in Waverly, this building never fails to turn my head. Actually, its the window reflections that reach out and grab one's attention.
Spindly branches and dizzying distortions......
What a mess!
Minor curves in the window glass must cause the mesmerizing, jumbled reflections to come into existence. If they exist at all. Step one way or the other and they morph into something else. What if the lenses of our eyes were shaped differently? Things might appear entirely different to us. More distorted or less......but, we would never know the difference. Do you ever wonder if our eyes see the world the way it really is?

Next is the brick building from the previous post......this time featuring spiral stairs, decked out with a fresh batch of pristine snow.......on a sunny morning back in January.

Have a great day!

What an eye you have for photography. Also for some reason I never noticed your gadzillion links on the right side of the blog before. That alone is worth a browse....I will come and read from your links sometime....Take care Jeannelle. Happy Weekend to you!

You always come up with the most fascinating posts. Who would have thought you could find so much to talk about from a reflection in the windows. ;)

Have a Fabulous Friday!

I like your reflections, both in photos and words. I've often wondered, myself, if how we see things is how they really are, or is it our individual perspectives that are different? "Do you see what I see?"

I guess the same question could be applied to all our senses.

Hi, Gail, Laura, Trish, Gramma Ann, Pat,

Thank you all for your kind words. Hey, go find a crazy window reflection in your world today!

Actually, I was surprised to see this post here this morning.....I thought it was still in the Drafts list. The laptop was giving me fits last evening.....it kept unconnecting from the router. I finally gave up and went to sleep, thinking the post was not published.

My favorite is the last one with the stairs covered in snow. Beautiful.

Cool! I love those distended reflections - very Van Gogh like, to me. The university I attended had those Brutalistic features with the heavy concrete walls and large windows. They are very imposing.

Great photos. You do have an eye for it.

Hi, Egghead and Poetikat,

Thank you for your comments. Yes, I just love these two buildings and the windows....many photo ops. Poetikat.....fascinating word there, "Brutalistic".
