Neighborhood Horses & Kitties

7th059 (3)

These are the only horses in our neighborhood.  On my way to a track meet last evening, I was able, at long last, to catch a drive-by shot of them.

Very exciting, earth-shattering news……earlier this week, I ordered a new pair of these Jobber Boots from the Muck Boot Company!   I can hardly wait for their arrival.

job-000a-m My old holey chore boots are being donated to the Kitty Scientific Research Foundation.

7th029 Along with a pathetic pair of shoes……

For the life of me, I could not get a clear shot of these adorable little wiggle-worms……who will soon be leaving our house to go live with their new owner.

7th054 In the past few years, we’ve had several litters of kittens born around here, and at around one month of age they invariably go through a stage of fascination with shoes……and shoestrings, of course!

Happy day to you!

Great barn door painting!

Kitties do love to play, don't they. Sweet little critters.

Hi, Carolyn,

Sorry....there are horses painted on the shed door in the first photo. Have a great day!

Hi, Blue Ridge Gal,

I will miss the kitties when they go. Enjoy your day!

I love that barn, beautiful, esp with that painting on the door.

I'm going to get me a pair of those boots, I like'em. The muck boots (aka rain boots) that my mom got me wore out fast -- they cracked in various places on the top, which doesn't work well in deep mud, which we've had tons of lately. So I've been wearing my expensive hiking boots and not liking it -- they're too good for mucking! I like the look of the boots you got.

And the kittens? All kittens are adorable and SO much fun to watch. :)

I love the "farm art" found on old barns. Artists seem to have a lot of ag blood and vice versa. The Blue Barn you caught in your drive-by shooting is well on its way to becoming part of a watercolor. I hope it turns out on paper to be something like what I see in my head. And I totally understand the value of good muck boots, and kitties and shoe laces.

How can you bear to part with them? (the kitties, not the shoes!)

I kind of like the look of those new boots you're getting. Do they come in any other colours?

Haha, lovely post! Nice to meet you. I popped over from Rhymeswithplague. Great horse painting. Very impressive.
And the kitties are so sweet. Could you please send the multicoloured one over to us? Ours died a couple of weeks ago and we miss her terribly :-(

I'll be certainly visiting more often.

Bye,
Carolina

Hi, Oz Girl,

I really like these boots....they are very waterproof (until they crack) and easy to get on and off. With daily use they lasted me a year.

Hi, Leenie,

Your watercolor sounds wonderful! Hopefully you will post it on your blog or email me a photo of it....would love to see it!

Hi, Poetikat,

Unfortunately, these boots are available only in utilitarian black.

Yes, I will miss the kitties.

Hi, Flea,

Sorry....these two are spoken for, or I could have sent one along with F & B.

Thank you for visiting here! I'm sorry to hear your kitty died. Hopefully, you will find a new one soon.

I really had to search for those horses!! I love murals like that one. Is there actually anything inside that barn?

Wonderful shot of the horses! I saw them right off, even though the mural is a tad faded. Great photo subject...=)

The kitties are so darn cute! Love that calico one.
