Colors of Goat’s Beard & Buster

12th010 (2)

I’m in awe of these Yellow Goat’s Beard seed heads right now.  The gold metallic glow of the seed stems is very noticeable when the sun is shining.

11th012 (3) Buster usually plops down to take a rest and wait patiently as I prowl around taking a closer look at the plants growing down in the ditch alongside the road.  I presume he’s waiting patiently, anyhow…..

Oops…..I could be wrong about that.  Buster’s expression now appears to be anything but patient.  In fact, he looks seriously on the grouchy side…….

11th020 (2) Hmm…….what Buster doesn’t realize is that his image is entirely at the mercy of my whims.

Listen, buddy Buster…..if you’re going to turn grumpy on ME then I’ll turn the photo-editing tables on YOU!

Blog readers, please make the acquaintance of Buster the Colorful!

Have a great weekend!

Love that first photo! The detail is magnificent.
But you shouldn't make Buster green...that is just wrong!

LOL! Poor buster getting stuck in the photo editor. Your work with the goatsbeard is magical esp. the b&w. I have been walking to work by a vacant log of goatsbeard. Each morning the yellow flowers gaze at the rising sun and are closed up tight by afternoon. I expect to see the whole lot explode in sailing seed in the near future. Poor gardeners downwind!

Hi, Deb,

Thanks for stopping by! Haha....coloring Buster was just too tempting.

Hi, Leenie,

Yes, too bad the goats beard can be a nuisance in gardens. I don't mind the ones around here because they are out along the road, away from the house.

The colorized shots of Buster reminded me of the horse of a different color from Wizard of Oz!

I love that 2nd photo of the yellow goat's beard -- great b&w shot! Very cute what you did to Buster, lol.
