Upon awakening this morning, I promised myself not to blog until I’d caught up on reading other blogs. But, later in the morning, I saw the coneflowers. Their long-lasting blooms are just beginning to form.
No touch-ups were done on these photos. They could probably use some, but I like them the way are. I’m finally learning to step back further and then zoom in to get better fake close-up shots with my Canon PowerShot SX100.
After my father-in-law passed away, we inherited his ornamental windmill. This poor coneflower is rather caught up in it…..

ooo-ooo! I finally have coneflowers this year and they are almost ready to bloom. You have a nice variety of colors. I have stuffed so many in the ground without success that now when they finally are promising a bloom or two--I have no idea what color they will be. Have a good one. And a good Sunday too.
I don't think my coneflowers are blooming yet. I suppose I should walk out back and see. I loved the photos, especially the last one,.
Your photos are wonderful! My coneflowers are in various stages right now. Some are spent and some just beginning to bloom. I love them and they just keep spreading over my garden.
Amazing photos - no touch ups needed!
Now I can add coneflowers to my list of favorite flowers...thanks to you!
Great job on capturing the colors of the coneflowers! Beautiful job!!
I love, love, love coneflowers! I used to have some in Ohio. I hope I get some planted next year here in KS.
You're like me - I'm always telling myself the same thing. No more blog posts until I put in some visitation time! :) And then I break my own rule. Again.
The funny thing is - once I start visiting, someone would have to DRAG me away from my computer. I really do love reading about everyone else's lives. Does that mean I'm a snoop??
