My daffodil shoots are once again courageously making their annual appearance. Blooming is a ways off yet, but the promise is there. The photo has the “crosshatch” effect.

Nothing colorful around here yet. Of course, I never planted anything in the fall, so maybe that's the problem.
I miss the bright, happy color of daffodils! I have planted any in years.
