Soon and very soon, cold weather will pull in to transport the fall colors away.
That was my first thought, anyhow, when I saw my husband pull up with this pickup load of branches for the burn pile. He had cleared a fencerow of unwanted brush, which is usually scrubby wild plum and mulberry trees. Birds like them, but farmers don’t.

the work never ends on a farm. love the grain bin in the background. wild plum trees in bloom are always one of my favorite spring sights. and the fruit makes some fine wine too. happy weekend to you Jeanelle. (and I just love what you think about when riding an elevator!).
I was clearing brush yesterday--here it is mulberries and autumn olives. Again--birds love them. Land owners don't! Thanks for stopping by my blog with an encouraging comment.
