Google Reader

Recently, I’ve discovered Google Reader.  I’m finding it an easy way to keep up with blog reading.  I was getting frustrated with waiting for individual blog pages to load, so I switched to the Reader where all your blogs can be accessed on one page.   

You can’t leave comments on a blog via the Reader, however---for that you just go to the blog’s page like usual.  I don’t leave comments everyday on every blog I read, so it works for me.  There is a handy little “like” icon at the end of each blogpost on Reader, and I click that quite often!

Today, I decided to import all my Reader blogs onto the list on my blog’s sidebar.  I chose to show ten of them---to see the rest, you just click on “see all” at the bottom of the list.  I’m sure I’ll be finding more blogs to add.  My interests tend toward nature, travelogue, farm, and scenery blogs.  I find many of them on SkyWatch Friday.  I also like blogs with enjoyable writing.  A good laugh is always welcome.

As for those slow-loading blog pages….I watched as my own blog loaded sluggishly and decided that maybe part of the problem was the “followers” widget, so I deleted that.  (Then, later, I changed my mind and added it again!)
