Barberry

I’m amazed at the autumn colors still to be found around the yard here in mid-November!  This Barberry bush branch poses next to an intriguing rock I found in the field a few years ago.

I love red and the fall gives us a lot of red colors. Barberry is a brilliant red and just brightens up the day when I see where it grows..
The John Deere Tractor that is slumbering in the shed for the winter. Will wake up as soon as you start it and make an amazing sound ~ Pop Pop Pop..on those two-cylinders.
I love to hear it's sound..
Have a Tiggeriffic Day~! ta ta for now from Iowa:)

Love the contrast of the red barberry against the rough texture of the rock.

Wonderful composition! I love the color of the leaves against the gray of the rock!

That's a wonderful photo - I too love the contrast between the colors and textures of the barberry and the rock. And what an unusual rock! Almost looks like the surface of the moon. I'd guess it was lava, but that's probably highly unlikely to find in your neck of the woods! :-)
