I know what you're saying about them being gone. I took a photo of my yellow wisteria leaves thinking I could try again the next day if I didn't like what I got - no such thing. The winds came and it's all but bare now.
The leaves on our little trees hung on til the end! The winds finally blew them all away!

I just love the color of a Burning Bush (one appears in a couple of photos on a recent post of mine), and applaud your impeccable timing getting this photo before it shed those beautiful leaves!
