Yesterday

Yesterday was a bright, sunny day offering a great opportunity for my husband to start planting corn.  This photo was snapped when I went to the field to take him his lunch:

Also yesterday, my mom was here.  She just got back from a trip to The Netherlands where she got these Delft-themed slippers:

I saw that corn planter and thought "he's in the field". I love this time of year. I love corn - the entire process from planting, to growing, to tasseling, maturity, and picking it. I got momentarily distracted by your previous post with the kitty photos. I was reminded of my childhood and how I was always surrounded by cats in the barn. I'm a bit envious of you - a new litter of babies, how delightful. They all look very healthy too - that's not an easy thing to keep barn kitties healthy. thanks for sharing those photos, I love them all. You have a wonderful life. I know it's hard work, but oh so worth it all. happy week to you Jeannelle. I truly do love my visits to your blog.

So great that he's been able to get into the fields! Those slippers are just adorable.

We finished up planting oats/peas and wheat a few weeks ago. With the warm weather here the past week, plants are sprouting like crazy!

Cute slippers!
