Barn Charm

I had to take a detour the other day due to road construction and was pleasantly surprised to find this rare sight along the way---a wire crib full of corn!  The wooden building is also a crib and appears to have corn in it, too.  Both structures store ears of corn which air dry to a usable state.

I don't think I've ever seen one with corn in it. But, then, there were many years that I paid no attention.

That's a great find! I like that I can see the texture of the dried corn.

Neat. I don't know the last time I've seen a wire crib actually in use.
