Its been busy around here. Time for the season’s second crop of hay to be harvested. Most of it was baled, but some was chopped for silage.
The hay that was to be baled was first raked. This next photo shows how two rows of hay are made into one with the rake.
I drove the baler all afternoon and evening. The weather was perfect for baling and thankfully we got it all done.

I am not,nor have I ever been,a farmer.I do appreciate the hard work the farmers put in to provide food for us all.
This takes me back to my childhood. My daddy would bale and back then we had square bales. We had a hay hauling machine that would scoop the hay bales and then we would stack them on. We hated it but looking back we had the best times ever doing those chores!
