Painted Lady Butterfly

Yesterday afternoon I was taking a walk, along the way looking for a butterfly I’ve been seeing lately everytime I don’t have my camera along!  It looks like a small Fritillary.  I didn’t find it, but this Painted Lady fluttered close enough for photos:

Nice capture of your butterfly. This is the day for butterfly photos, I just visited Larry Burgus' blog and he captured a butterfly as well.

I don't know much about butterflies, to be truthful -- love seeing your captures and appreciate your knowledge. :)

Nice of the painted lady to hold still long enough for these shots. Very pretty!
