Dusty Harvest

Yesterday our neighbor was combining soybeans, kicking up lots of dust…

Sept 24 (1)

Later in the day, another neighbor was combining in a nearby cornfield.  The two combines appeared to be having a dust-blowing contest…

Sept 24 (8)

I zoomed the camera quite a bit to get these shots and didn’t mind a bit.  That meant I was plenty far away from all that dust!

I do think all the dust is going to kill me this fall. It is an allergy nightmare out there right now. But it makes for great pictures!

I was watching my neighbours combine yesterday and I could not remember this much dust. The drought has made for terribly dry conditions but I must admit beautiful photo ops. B

Yeah, it's dusty here, too. I think the dust makes for a very interesting photo. And it is better captured with a zoom lens!

Looks like that here a lot too, even though I think we've had more rain than your area.

The bottom shot looks like dueling combines! They sure can kick up a good amount of dust!
