Continuing on with pictures from our drive yesterday…
My husband and I have driven by this sign many times over the years, but had never followed the arrow. This time I hollered, "Let's go there!", and we did.
The roofless old church made of limestone sits on a hilltop overlooking the surrounding farmland.
Here’s the plaque by the front door:
And, the interior:
The window arches are made of brick:
It was a beautiful sunny day and we enjoyed walking around outside the old building:
It was very peaceful there with a nice view in the distance. I enjoy visiting places like this!

This must have been a lovely church building in its time. It is good to see that the walls are left standing as a memorial.
Very beautiful ruins of the old chuch!
So sad it has been abandoned!
Thanks for sharing;o)

Have a nice week****
What a gorgeous structure. Too bad it has not been redone. Thanks for visiting!
So often you see photos like this from the UK blogs. Very interesting...the stones have passed the test of time.
