Yellow-rumped Warbler

Yesterday I was stalking this bird in the yard,
trying to get photos to identify it with.

Turns out it is a Yellow-rumped warbler, this next shot showing why it was given that name.

I'm guessing it is only passing through our area while on a springtime journey to somewhere else.

Here's one last look, a rather silly pose...

I saw one of those the other day, but I didn't have my camera! Thanks so much for identifying it. They seem to be rather friendly little birds (or at least the one I saw was).

Great to see migrating birds - especially if they are headed north. That means warm temps are back!

This is such a pretty little bird. They only pass through my area as well, but I sure enjoy seeing them.
