The Clock

Here is the clock Husband chose from his dad's house. It had belonged to Husband's great-grandparents, who were married in 1905. I don't know much about clocks, but am growing very fond of this one, now that its here. Its gentle tick-tock and chiming adds a comforting sound to the room. I'll need to do some research to figure out where and when it was made.

Tell me which company made it--I am wondering if it is the same company as mine!

I'm not sure of the manufacturer's name yet. The only marking I've found so far is an E in a circle etched in the wood on the underside of the clock.

hmm-there isn't one on the clocks face?

oh, I enlarged your photo and the only thing I see on the face is--made in the usa

Wow, you were able to zoom in and see the "Made in the U.S.A." Yes, that is the only printing on the face. I've looked the whole clock over and can't find any marking except that circled "E" I mentioned earlier.

Today, I fiddled around with the clock, looking inside and trying to understand how it works. The wire holding the weight was a bit out of place, I think. After an adjustment of that, the clock seems to be working.
