Earlier in the week, I bought a "My Book" external hard drive to hold my photos. Yesterday afternoon, I hooked it up to the computer and it was still copying photos at 10 p.m.! Goodness, I wanted to go to sleep, but felt compelled to stay awake and babysit the electronics.
*
And, speaking of babysitting.......today (Friday) there will be two little preschooler girls around my house all day while their mom goes on a school field trip. I just couldn't say "NO" when she called me the other day, for I remember what it was like when I had little ones and needed someone to watch them occasionally, usually that ending up being my mom or my sister. It will cramp my style today, though.......with little ones around I can't just head outdoors and do whatever I feel like. I've become pleasantly accustomed to that freedom, but, boy oh boy, do I remember ALL the years of constantly watching out for children on a farm! From 1981 to 2000, that's about ALL I got done, and I would never wish to go back to that daily routine again. As much as I love my kids, I'm really glad they're grown and can watch out for themselves. So, today, I must gear down to the pace of two little girls who will follow me around all day and want read to and kept entertained with whatever toys I can round up from the storeroom.

ENJOY YOUR FRIDAY! And, if you're a parent of small children......know that I'm with ya for several hours today!!

I feel the exact same way.
I LOVED every minute of raising my girls and never begrudged while they were in the house. It took me some years to really appreciate the quiet, but now I love it and don't like it noisy:)

Although I LOVE children and love it when my gran'baby Cooper comes over:) He can disrupt my schedule any day:)

Have fun today!

Your sky triangles are stunning! Especially the second one, which ought to be hanging in a museum somewhere.

Nice pics Jeannelle, and happy babysitting. I didn't know there was such a thing as an external drive...LOL. Your photos as always are worth the visit alone.

Hi, Ruth, Sherry,

Thanks for swinging by. I figured I'd better back the photos up to another place to free up the computer, and in case the computer would ever crash badly. The My Book plugs into a USB slot and the wall outlet....that's it....it was ready to go then.

do you ever have contests for sky pictures? from your blog readers?
Anne Marie from Na-Da Farm

Because if so - I would Totally! contribute - and would love to see the sky views from others as well.

Love your unique triangles, Jeannelle. And yes, I remember those days well. The days with the little ones. Hope it all went well.

Hi, anne marie (love your name, both are in my family)!

I hope you'll have a chance to visit the SkyWatch Friday site on the link in this post or on the blog sidebar. There you will find several hundred links to sky photos from around the world, taken by regular, ordinary people everywhere. Anyone can submit a link to their own photo. Its a fun way to get some comments from other parts of the world. And, the more sites you visit and comment on, the more people will come and visit yours. I haven't found the time yet to visit very many SkyWatch sites each week, but I do make it to a few.

country girl,

Thanks for visiting! The day went well......the girls and I all fell asleep on the couch while reading books this afternoon!

Love those triangles -- they remind me of how I used to have to cut sandwiches when I had little ones! :) Yes, I am glad those days are over, too. Your skywatch photos are wonderful -- so much fun!

Beautiful geometrical photos.

Beautiful photos. How n earth did you ever get an angle like that? And so consistently! :0) Seriously, nice variety from the norm.

I like the angle pictures! Beautiful colors!

I've always liked trigonometry and I certainly like these.
Did you have my problem with layout where nothing stayed in place without stars inbetween?

Hope you at least had some fun with your knee-high friends!

Thank you all for visiting my SkyWatch post and for commenting!

And, arija: Yes, my paragraphs all clump together if I don't space them with the stars. If there is some other trick I don't know about, someone should enlighten me! There's lots I don't know about computers an blogging!
