Oooh - I don't mind watching the sky from down here - but don't make me climb that silo!! Very cool perspective for a photograph. Thanks so much for coming to see the moons on my blog - and for your sweet comments. I'd be honored for you to stop by again! Happy SWF.

I really like that second shot. If you hadn't said it, this Chicagoan wouldn't have guessed. It is fresh and creative. Well done, You!

I must admitt, I had SWF on my mind shooting this shot. Sorry. But best of all is to sit down and just forget about time and place. Just enjoying life.

Nice image of the silo! Our skyscrapers of the prairie.

I enjoyed the video of the corn. The neighbor next to me combined some today.

Lots of deer! Goodness! And I loved the old building post! Very much!

A very interesting way of looking at the sky through the silo climbing cage. I like your video of the cornfield just below also.

Great shots. Wow, what a big silo. I'm glad you have a safety cage, even so I would not like to be the one to do all that mountain climbing. I'm glad someone has yummy feed for their cows. It's so dry we have to buy all our feed. We have no house cow at the moment, so are bottle feeding two orphan calves with bought milk. The expence is horrendous, but what can I do? My granddaughter has a very soft heart.

That's a beautiful shot. Fun seeing your Iowa skies because my daughter is in grad school at the University of Iowa so I feel a little closer to her at least by seeing skies from the state she's in. Thanks for your visit to my NC daytime moon.

How cool to see your version of the sky from a working farm in the middle of Iowa. Thanks for sharing all your lovely photos with us all for sky watch friday.

Good skies with really strong support from the ladder. The second shot would look good in black and white also.
Very fine.

good lord, jeannelle, someone actually has to CLIMB that thing?! Yikes!

Great point of view for a skywatch photo, though... and I see you are having nice weather! My husband was actually out in Cedar Rapids for work this week.

Thanks for the link in your post about visiting skywatch. enjoy your weekend!

Good idea for skywatch picture. I like very much the countryside and farming. Cows are my favorite animal (like my mother!) I grew up in the country near Trondheim town in Norway. There were farmers on both sides of my family.
Have a nice week-end!

I really enjoyed your Skywatch pictures because you included the silo! It was an unexpected view of the sky!

One of my favourite photo subjects is old-time timber Ontario barns. I am always on the lookout for those with silos and/or windmills as they are getting harder and harder to find as they are replaced with more modern versions.

Thanks for visiting my ghostly moon!

I really love your silo pictures! Thank you for the visit and the comment. Yes, I am the person who started Sky Watch. I'm really surprised that anyone remembers.

Great shots of silo and sky! I bet you can get some great shots from the top of the silo too. We live in a dairy farming part of Maryland where many farms have already become housing developments (our house is in one of them). The cows have left the farm directly behind us, but the land still grows wheat, corn and soybeans, so many of my photos include the work done on the other side of the fence.
