Say It Isn't So

Yesterday, I goofed around and put an autumn background on my blog, and look at the thanks I get........it snowed a few hours later! Snow in an autumn scene......that is just NOT RIGHT!

I hope there is NO snow where you are........unless, perhaps you actually want some of the white stuff, like for skiing or something.

Beautiful picture. It does tell a story, doesn't it?
Love the new layout. *)

No snow here yet but just a few miles away in our mountains there is quite a bit. We tend to get mostly rain down here by the sea level.

We're supposed to get snow tomorrow. Probably your storm moving east.

We just had snow on the mountain range around us earlier in the week...it didn't reach the valley floor. It was darn cold all week...but today it was in the mid 60's...with lots and lots of sunshine....=)

How much snow? I'll send my 15 yr old daughter to you so she can snowboard at your house. Sometimes she and her brother don't even wait for snow-they snowboard down the manure piles in the pasture!!! Now that's a TRUE country girl to me! But she'll deny that till the day she leaves home for college! Teresa

suz,

Actually, the story here is that the poor orange maple leaf is impaled on a burning bush branch. Quite dramatic!

egghead,

Probably the snow on the mountains is very beautiful, too!

*******

ruth,

Soon after this photo was taken, rain began to fall, and fell most of the day. Hopefully, if you get snow, it won't stay long, either.

********

deserthen,

Glad to hear you had a sunny, warmish day! I like 60's weather!

oregontribal,

Oh....hilarious......"manure-boarding"!! You can't get more "country" than that!

I might agree the snow is NOT RIGHT. (Really, it isn't at this time of year.) But what a photo opporunity it was for you! This is fabulous!

The snow you received may have gone by now, but you got a really beautiful photo of the impaled leaf. Love it!

It's not really cold here, yet, but quite "nippy" in the mornings.

Hi, Louise,

Thanks for the kind words, and a good attitude about snow!

Hi, Pat,

Thanks, too, for stopping in to view the poor, chilly leaf! Stay warm!

Hi, Anonymous,

Oh, my.....please don't bother to pass THAT weather on to Nebraska's eastern neighbor, thank you! Sorry to hear of your power outage.....sounds like no fun, but glad to hear you made it through OK. Memories for the grandkids!
