The Party's Over

Yup........the Christmas Eve festivities are behind us, now, and Mookie is all worn out. So much so that she fell right into a snooze over the arm of the recliner-rocker!
And......oh, goodness gracious.......now Daughter has joined her!
*
Most of you are probably snoozing, too.......tucked snug in your beds with visions of sugarplums dancing through your heads! What sweet dreams to have! May Christmas morning bring all you're hoping for!

[I have to mention this goofy little thing that happened during our Christmas Eve get-together. We had just filled our plates and were sitting down to eat when my son suddenly said, "Sh-h......it sounds like someone's cell phone is ringing." And, yes, we could hear a muffled musical sound from over on the desk near where my daughter and daughter-in-law had set their purses, so we thought the phone was ringing inside a purse. My son and I hunted around and realized the sound was coming from the other side of the desk, but from what was the question! There were two old portable CD players sitting there which hadn't been used in many months......one of them also having a radio in it. It finally dawned on me that the sound was coming from that CD player!! I didn't even know it still had batteries in it. What prompted it to start playing, I haven't the slightest clue. The sound was coming through the attached headphones; I put them up to my ear just in time to hear the song end and the DJ say, "That was Night Ranger, singing Sentimental Street." Well........I'm not familiar with that band, or that song.

My daughter.......poor thing.......tends to see things like I do. The first thing she said was, "That must have been Grandpa giving us a greeting!" (Husband's dad, who died last year.)]

Yea, some are sleeping all right, but I'm just settling down, cleaning up from our nights events.
We also had a peculiar buzzing tonight and they all told me it was my oven, and finally I said, I may be blond but I'm not that stupid. It was one of our electronic devices low on batteries.
Hope you have a day filled with awe and wonder.

Hi, Gail,

Yes, I googled the song's title because it was not familiar to me. I need to look a the lyrics closer to see if there's a message there.....

Very cute photo of Mookie and your daughter too...=)Our Mookie spent yesterday evening stretched in front of a very nice, warm fireplace...=)

Sounds like a good time was had by all and maybe just maybe Grandpa did stop by.....that was very interesting about the music coming from the cd player that had not been used in a long time.

It started snowing here on Christmas Eve day very early and it kept it up all day, all night and into Christmas morning....we have so much snow on the ground!! Over a foot....and it drifted as well due to the high winds, so some places have two foot drifts or better. I had to use 4-Low to get out of our valley this morning to get to work!! The snow even changed our Christmas day plans....but it all worked out well....=)
