SkyWatch #32

*

Welcome! The photo is annoyingly blurry, but it is of a farmstead to which I have a connection, having lived there during the first eight years of my marriage. One tranquil summer morning a stage curtain opened for a brief moment and the trickster took a potshot at me along the road by this farm. Somewhere far in the wings, my guardian angel was cracking up with laughter. I was but a child and knew nothing of such things. To me, the experience was incredibly embarrassing and I chalked the whole thing up to atrociously bad luck. For protection, I draped the equivalent of a burqa over my mind. Fabric disintegrates after many years of exposure to the sunlight of life, however. Many years later the tattered old covering ripped into shreds and fell away.

Thank you for stopping by! And, thank you for the kind comments on my SkyWatch guest host "sundog" photo and text last week. Appreciation always to the SkyWatch team......Klaus, Sandy, Ivar, Wren, Fishing Guy, and Louise. And, to Dot who gave birth to SkyWatch. Truly, I admire and am inspired by minds from which original ideas spring.

I don't understand much of what I've just read, but it's OK by me if that's the way you feel, shredded burqa and all! :) I like your blurry photo; the sky is gorgeous!

Hi, Pat,

Hahaha.....I like your honesty. But, honestly, do you really like the blurry picture??! Thanks for stopping by.

Hi, Guy,

Oh, I always appreciate you stopping in. Everytime I've tried to visit your site in the past, my computer freezes up......I'll have to try with the laptop. I don't understand why my computer reacts that way to some sites.....yours is not the only one. Thanks for your kind words.

I thought it was just me not understanding what you wrote, but it feels good to see the others didn't understand either! But, like all the rest I love the photo, it doesn't look that blurry to me, but what do I know!

Sometimes it is okay to put a veil over those things which we wish not to remember to well.

Loved your photo, and your burqa description as well....grin. You are a writer as well as a photographer...and good at both too!

Hi, EG Tour Guide, Sara G, Bradley Myers, Gramma Ann, Deserthen, Trish, Reamus,

Thank you all for stopping in and for commenting. Sorry the post was rather mysterious today. It all came to me as I was scraping cow manure in the barn this morning. What do you expect? Actually, the trickster has probably visited you from time to time, too.

Ah, lets blame it on the cow manure then ;-) Such a beautiful bright shot.

So Jeannelle you will have to some day tell us more about this. Such a mystery. Beautiful sky though.

Okay, to be honest, I didn't like the picture. Too blurry. Age is making my vision blurry enough. Nice color, though.

But the story was wonderfully mysterious. I just can't think of a story line that fits it. Some day you'll have to tell us. Or maybe you won't.

If the system on the computer is older than the system on the laptop, it's possible that you need to run an update on it. Some web sites may be running things that your system doesn't recognize. Since I run a Mac, I'm useless to tell you how, but Apple has a web site that allows you to download system updates for free, so I expect Microsoft does, too. Just a guess, though.

Who can see blurry with all those beautiful colors!!!

Tricia, babooshka, Gail, kden, Egghead, Sempringham, Teri C,

Thank you all for stopping in and commenting. Yeah, I don't like the blur, either, but when I sharpened it it didn't look very good. The sunset was just so vivid that evening....that's why I posted it anyway.

Thanks, sempringham, for suggesting running updates....that may be the problem....this desktop computer is several years old and I think the automatic updates got stopped somehow awhile back.
