Basket Cases

Look where I found Fred and Bessie earlier today……grazing amongst the chocolate eggs in the green grass pasture of the Easter basket! And, all the while I thought they were still snuggled in the little doll bed. Bessie rather looks like she’s still asleep, though, so perhaps she sleep-walked to the Easter basket. It wouldn’t surprise me a bit if my little cow guests really ARE basket cases right now, considering what happened to them in Hannibal. I can’t wait until Laura blogs about it, though I’m concerned that Fred and Bessie’s mental state may be slightly cracked as a result of their trauma and they may soon require the services of a COWnselor.

Here's a lovely crackled-glass egg…..an Easter gift from my sister:

9th012 I’ll probably be scarce around blogs for the rest of the weekend……there’s so much going on, and I know you are busy, too. Truthfully, I’d be thrilled to be able to run away by myself to a quiet, lonely place to contemplate and ponder, but, alas, such behavior would be considered antisocial or "mental".

Here are Miss Kitty’s twins, born last Monday night (they are cardboard box cases):

Have a pleasant Easter Saturday!

Wow - I've never seen F&B so tired. I'm so glad they can rest peacefully while with you. I'd bet they'd love to snuggle with your adorable kitty twins, though they'd probably try milking Bessie ...

Mrs. RWP and I are as worn out as Fred and Bessie, and we are definitely basket cases. We have had a houseguest this week who wanted to be driven all over Atlanta to see how things had changed since he left here 23 years ago. Very tiring! Plus a special meal last night for 11, then the cleaning up afterwards, and the good-byes this morning.

We are pooped.
