There’s been lots of admiral butterflies fluttering around outside lately, but they are difficult to photograph. Lo and behold, one showed up inside the house the other day and I promptly held an impromptu photo session as it sat on a window:

Lucky for you that he came inside for a visit. I did a post on the Monarch Butterfly. Like you, it was a stroke of luck that it stayed still and allowed me to photograh her.
How lucky! I've been trying to get a good picture too, and I just had two pose for me in the pasture tonight.
Nice shots! I've been seeing them, too here in SE Nebraska.
