Tassels

Yesterday was so hot that I didn’t take a walk until evening.  Tassels have appeared on the cornstalks, seemingly overnight:

July 4 (1)

Our 4th of July was pleasant.  Some out-of-state relatives stopped by for a visit on their way to a family reunion in another state and I finished reading a book.

Our corn is starting to tassel also.

We must be on the same time schedule as you :)

Looks, steamy, hot and lush. Glad your corn crop is doing so well.

The corn around here is not going to make it...fields and fields of it almost turned completely brown. Tassels on some but no silks...it was 107 just a few minutes ago...has not had a day of below 100 for about a week now I think.

Great silhouettes of the corn! Love that sky!

That is unbelievable! Our corn is one foot high...and waiting for some heat. We have had a record cold/wet spring. Wish we could share the sunshine and the rain as needed.
