We Got Some Rain!

I woke up to loud claps of thunder during the night and by morning a light rain was still falling.  We received a half inch or so.

July 12 Hopefully, that much-needed rainfall will help this coneflower to uncurl.  Lately, despite evening waterings with the hose, many flowers and garden plants have been curled or wilted by mid-afternoon when the sun is high and hot.

I hope he gets uncurled. Coneflowers are my new favorite flower.

No rain here since May. It was 104 yesterday! Pretty flower shot! Enjoy the moisture!

Oh and the antelope roam through our farm almost every day. They enjoy the hay fields and we enjoy watching their crazy antics. =)

Our gardens here in Florida are drying up even with our afternoon showers...that is why this week I headed out to Lowes' garden center and got some great flower shots ;)..I just cannot get the coneflowers to settle in my garden and I love them.
