Gotcha, Leopard Leaf

I know......I know.......autumn is pretty much out of the picture now. We're moving into the drab, chilly confines of late November......soon to become winter, and soon to be brightened artificially for a time by Christmas lights and decor.
*
However........I'm going to try to GETCHA to gaze at one more autumn scene! It appears this weed leaf is a victim of GOTCHA, by the way!
*
And, I must ask.......have you ever laid eyes on a leaf from the maple species known as LEOPARD?!

Hee hee.......GOTCHA!
*

*
You know I'm not being at all honest with you concerning the spotted leaf.......certainly, there is no such tree as a Leopard Maple. Billy Joel's song "Honesty" was performed by the jazz band at my niece's high school variety show last week........a few lines of the lyrics drifted into my mind during the performance:

I can always find someone to say they sympathize,

If I wear my heart out on my sleeve.

But I don't want some pretty face to tell me pretty lies;

All I want is someone to believe.

Honesty is hardly ever heard,

But mostly what I need from you.

*

HONESTLY, I hope you have a good day........and, live HONESTLY!

cool leaves... would you believe... this blooming nutty town I live in has christmas lights up and ON already! Good Grief Charley Brown its no wonder that before Dec 10th I am burned out and ready for it all to be over... I am one itty bitty step from being the grinch anyway because of the rediculous comercialism that christmas has become...
oh dear take the soap box from me already! PLEASE!

I wish there were a Leopard Maple; that would be so cool. My dad used to say, "Wish in one hand and spit in the other and see which you get the most of." Being an earthy person, though, sometimes he didn't say "spit."

You rated a mention in my recent post, "One Mississippi, Two Mississippi, Three Mississippi" -- come on over and check it out.

Mrs. RWP and I are going on a little vacation to Tampa, Florida, for a few days. I probably won't be blogging or commenting much until we get back home.

Hi, Laura,

Hey....make room for me on that soap box, too! I feel the same way about Christmas. The radio station I normally listen to started playing all Christmas music at the beginning of November.....arggh!

I like your Leopard Maple leaf photo. Your photographer's eye is catching a lot of really pretty things.
My otherwise delightful neighbor across the street put up Christmas lights around the edges of the roof on... Halloween weekend! Fortunately, they are a somewhat muted green and don't flash on an off; I'll count my blessings where they occur.

Hi, Pat,

My sister just started working in the office of a business that hires out to do Christmas lighting and decorating for homes and businesses! I could hardly believe it.....that such a business exists now, but I shouldn't be surprised.

Great photos. I loved seeing all of your photos of fall and the glorious colors in your area. That is a cool spotted leaf.

I hope you had a good day...=)
