Up A Tree

Mookie found himself chased up a tree yesterday morning......for the first time in his life! Take my word for it.....his wary downward stare is directed at the upturned faces of two canine foes.
Not to worry.......it didn't take long for Mookie to figure out how to scramble his way DOWN the tree trunk again.......especially when his favorite treat showed up......a pan of warm milk!

Here's hoping no one chases YOU up a tree today!

Mookie is a beautifully colored cat, and has a sweet face. Glad he got down OK. I've had to bring out the ladder to rescue tree-climbing felines who turned "scaredy-cat" and wouldn't come down.

You're a good writer and photographer. I enjoy hearing about your family's farm. I have fond memories of childhood in a farming community in S.C. (I've been a city person asince I was eleven years old). I always look forward to seeing and hearing about your midlifebyfarmlight.

Pat,

Yes, even my husband---who claims to hate cats---has been known to go to heroic lengths to rescue a truly stranded kittycat! Mookie here was not up a tree too far.

Ruth,

Thanks for stopping in! Yes, Mookie here is an extra-cute kitty. I was tempted to keep him in the house, but everyone else said, "NO"!

deserthen,

Oh, that's funny....you have a Mookie kitty, too! I don't know what it means......our Mookie's name came from a recent family joke involving my son's name.
