That famous old saying was treated to a switcheroo at my niece’s wedding reception over the weekend. The dessert did not include wedding cake---which seems to be the trend around here right now. Not to worry, though, there were plenty of sweets available….
Its always fun to see what the table centerpieces will look like….
The weather’s very appropriate and appreciated wedding gift was a day filled with October warmth and sunshine. As early evening shadows lengthened, the wedding party arrived at the reception hall in a stretch SUV limousine….
At that point, I couldn’t resist making like the paparazzi---frantically snapping photos of the day’s celebrities….
So what if I caught less-than-glamorous shots of the bride beautiful and her entourage. They were fair game, weren’t they….

Well, I can tell by the length of that limo that the couple's first act as a married couple will be to go bowling...!
At my stepdaughter's wedding just recently, they skipped the cake too...mini cupcakes instead!!! And were they yummy!!!
