Swamp Milkweed Pods

Sept 22 (69)

Here’s some photos taken exactly one month ago.  These are Swamp Milkweed which grow in the roadside ditch near our farm.  Click here to see how they looked while in bloom during the summer.

Sept 22 (72) The pods displayed this mauve color for a few days before opening to reveal the seeds.

I'm really loving your photos. each and every one fills me with awe. the colors here are amazing. when I was a little girl we would pick the dried pods and paint the insides metallic gold. thanks for the memories. happy week to you Jeanelle.

Oh I love these, and your photography is breathtaking. I'm a point and shoot kind of girl myself. Oh my, learning my fancy camera is so hard for me!
