Dairy Thoughts

The last few days have been just wonderful, weather wise.  Temperatures have reached the 70's, which, of course, is unusual for November.

It's been great weather for the cows to spend time in the pasture.  The photo shows only a couple of them.  We milk around ninety Holsteins.  In today's world, we are just a very small dairy operation.  All across the country have sprung up huge dairies milking hundreds and even thousands of cows.  Milk prices are low, making it harder for small dairies to stay in business.  My husband and I wonder where it will all end.  Maybe each state will have one gigantic dairy factory someday.  Time will tell.
